After School Program Trainer

ProSolve is looking for candidates who are interested in facilitating the SLED Academy after-school program 5 days a week. This position would be directly working with 15 to 25 students between 4th and 6th grade, and teach lessons around design thinking, public speaking, project management, and more. Additionally, this role would assist students with developing and executing project ideas to better their community.


We are currently seeking candidates who are interested in a minimum 5-month opportunity to live in California from January to May of 2022. Additionally, those that would like to continue will have an opportunity to stay in California for up to an additional 2 years after the first 5 months.

SLED Academy

ProSolve has launched a new program called SLED Academy. SLED (Students Leading Education) is a student organization that focuses on positioning students to go out and solve real-world problems facing their school through project-based learning.


SLED Academy provides the necessary curriculum to help students develop skills they will need in order to create and execute their project ideas to solve those problems.


About You



  • Demonstrated ability to work and connect with young people and teen issues

  • Experience leading large groups of people (e.g. acting, performing, professional training, educating, presenting, etc)

  • The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize job responsibilities

  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; articulate, engaging and compelling

  • Demonstrated ability in effectively reaching diverse groups of people with varied learning styles

  • Self-motivated, organized, accountable, and attentive to detail Ideally will have education/training or equivalent experience in education Internal motivation to learn and grow constantly

  • Located in California

  • Track record of working in a rapidly growing organization

  • Familiar with Google tools (Drive, Sheets, Slides, Docs)

Your Responsibilities

  • Travel to California for approximately 5 months

  • Work an estimated 20 hours a week (10 hours of direct student time, 7.5 hours prep time, 2.5 hours travel time)

  • Pass a background check

  • Willing to be vaccinated (or get tested weekly)

  • Work professionally with students by themselves for 60 to 120 minutes a day

  • Be able to drive to and from school sites (a car can be provided)

Pay Structure

This pay structure serves as only a rough estimate. Final pay details will be discussed upon reviewing a contract. Remember that the program is an expected 20 hours of work per week, and will allow for other remote jobs or classes to take place. 


Estimated $650 per week for 20 hours
